Actually, they are the message that appears under your name in a list of board topics.

For example, mine is "oooo you're gona like this".

You can change all that in your profile somewhere. I don't think you have to be premium to do it.

If you are a standard member, when you have never posted before, your first 50 posts will have a status line of new born poster. I could be wrong about the number; it might be your first 100 posts. Then your status changes to veteran poster. I think the next status is something like I've got the bronze poster award. After that it's silver poster award and then gold. This is all automatic and depends on how many times you have posted. However, if you are a premium member, you can go into your account settings and make up your own status and you can change it whenever you want.

As usual, Bob is giving out incorrect information, so never, never listen to him.
